The AELTC have given Evan and I a wildcard into the Mens Doubles Main draw at Wimbledon this year. Can't Wait !!!!!!
Upto the end of May 2019 I have had by far my most successful season. On the back of the doubles trophies I won with Evan Hoyt at the end of last year and the British Tour win over Liam Broady I have manged to pick up four more doubles title, making ELEVEN doubles titles on the ITF tour so far. On the new World Tennis Tour ITF ranking this has put me into the top 10 ITF doubles player in the World. When the joint ATP and ITF rankings are reinstated in August I will have a world ranking of around 250 ATP.
With Evan we won the ITF 25k doubles tournaments in the UK at Barnstaple and Glasgow. Then I followed up those wins with 2 further titles in Gran Canaria with Felipe Alves Rodrigues Meligeni.
2018 was a good year for me reaching career highs in both singles and doubles. I won 4 doubles titles during the year with my last one being in Tunisia with Evan Hoyt - see picture below.
2019 started even better with me taking the singles title at the British Tour Grade 1 event in Bath. Having reached the final I had to play against my training partner and Davis Cup player Liam Broady. After a long 3 set match I finally came through winning 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.
The World University Student Games drew to a close on the 30th August. Luke and his partner Jack Findel-Hawkins were not seeded in the mens doubles tournament but made the final after knocking out the number 6 seed 6-4,6-4 , the number 1 seed 6-4,7-6 and 5 seed 6-0,6-3 before eventually losing a very close final in the 3rd set tiebreak to the number 7 seeds from Russia 1-6, 6-3, 7-10. to take the SILVER medal !!! The number 1 seeds were from Taipei , they had played at Wimbledon and were expected to take the gold.
It was a brilliant once in a lifetime experience. Read the report. Here are some pictures from the event :-
Luke has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Student Games.
This is a great honour and priviledge to be selected for the second largest sporting event in the world - after the Olympics. All the news and announcement can be found at ;-

I returned to the UK after 4 years in America playing in one of the strongest conferences for Clemson University in South Carolina.
After training and working over the summer in New York, I saved money to help me set off on my professional tennis career.
There are currently 14000 players competing on the professional tour and in my first year I have been playing as a professional I have reached 946 at singles and 534 at doubles. I am looking for sponsorship to support my training and travel. My professional programme costs approximately £25k per annum and players do not break even in the first 2 to 3 years after turning professional.
In 2016 I was invited to be the hitting partner at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 where I practised with the top 8 players in the world - including Dominic Thiem, David Goffin , Roberto Bautista Agut . It was a fantastic opportunity to hit with the best in the world.
